Kyle Marcel "Kylo" "Looloke" "Daddio" McGee, born on January 22, 1979 in South Bend, Indiana, transitioned from this life on July 29, 2024.
An adventurous and courageous soul, Kyle was known for his fearless pursuit of life, a trait that stood out even as a young boy and followed him into adulthood. From his birthplace in South Bend to his time in Louisville, Kentucky, and throughout his 45 years in Indiana, his spirit was felt everywhere he went. Kyle was a loving brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend who had an unwavering commitment to those he loved. His heart was big, his laughter contagious, and his spirit, truly indomitable. He was a factory worker by profession, but he was also a handyman, a comedian at heart, and a lover of cutting grass with his special uncle and father figure, Bobby McCain.
His Catholic faith deeply rooted in him, Kyle embodied the words in the book of John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, to lay down one's life for one's friends". He was never married, but his loving nature earned him a place in many hearts and he leaves behind a host of family and friends that he held close to his heart.
Kyle is survived by his son, Kyle Mcgee, and his daughter, Mekya Mcgee; his siblings Ikenia McGee, Tori Mcgee, and Shalonda Mcgee; his nieces Unique Parker and Indigo Shell; his nephew Isean Parker; his granddaughter Ky’Ari Washington; his grandson Kylen Mcgee; his best friend forever Sandra Brown-Newbill; and his great-niece Leah Sirko and great-nephew Tyler Sirko. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Johnson; his father, Ronald Mcgee; his aunties, Donna Johnson and Cheryl Atkins; his grandmother, Geraldine Johnson; and his uncles, Bobby McCain and Ronnie Coleman. Kyle's love and laughter will be remembered by all who knew him and had the privilege to share in his life.
In honor of Kyle's life, we invite you to leave memories and upload photos on his memorial page. His story is not just about his life, but also about the many lives he touched with his funny, loving, adventurous, and courageous spirit. We encourage you to share your stories and remember Kyle in a way that continues to bring joy, just as he would have wanted.
