Lakeisha Alexander Obituary

On July 22,1981, Lakeisha which means ‘SUNSHINE” was born to Glenda Alexander. A beautiful 5lb 14oz baby, also known as “SPANKY” a name that was given by her grandpa, the late Harrison Stewart Jr. At a very early age 15 months the love of her life, Father, Dad, Provider, Mentor, Hero, Dennis Patton Sr.

Keisha was a Lasalle High School graduate and a proud member of the cheerleading team, middle and high school years.

Keisha attended Vincennes University and IUPUI. Keisha was a graduate of Vogue Cosmetology School. Keisha worked for DoubleTree Hotel as a night auditor and  the Assistant Manager for Emerald Point Apartments. She was also one of the founding coaches for the Eminence Dance Team. 

Keisha accepted Christ at the age of 13 and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. Allen Gary Sr. She was a member of the New Testament M.B.C. where she served in the Sunshine Band, Youth Choir and Adult Choir. Keisha was always ready and willing to share her gift to sing for the Lord. One of her favorite songs, “I WON'T COMPLAIN”. This was Keisha's daily walk no matter what BATTLE or SEASON. 

 Keisha leaves to cherish her memory her sons David Stuckey Jr., and Drew Waite, daughters Davi’ Stuckey and A’Millioan Huey. Her mother Glenda F. Patton. Her siblings, Aisha (Dwayne) Avance, Dennis L. Patton Jr., and Turquoise Patton. God-Daughter Dadranae Taylor. Nieces and Nephews, Qualyshia Alexander, Miquan Patton-Martin, Malik Patton-Martin, Michae Martin, ‘Ennis Patton, Zachary Patton, Annalyse Patton, and Dennis Patton III, Bonus Niece and Nephews, Aliyah Costillo, Aydin & Jordyn Ortiz. Grandmother Barbara (Alexander) Murdock. Bonus brothers Marion Marsh and DiShon Marsh. Aunts Joan (Johnny) McChristion, Kathy Stewart and Clotine Williams, Uncles Bruce Colemam, Perry (Angie) Patton. Great-Aunts Celestine Cole and Annie Duncan, Great-Uncle Jim Duncan. Special Cousin/Sister Sierra Poindexter. A special friend Reba Williams, Besties Kwame Lewis and Dynisha Knight. Furry Sister Gucci. Along with a host of family and friends in which she loved.

Keisha was preceded in death by her father Dennis Patton Sr. Niece Shareita Patton, Grand-dads Harrison Stewart Jr. and Van Alexander, Grandmother Thelma Patton, Uncles Michael Stewart and Frederick Patton Sr. One Aunt Thellisa Patton. Great Uncle LePoleon Duncan. Great Grandparents Jim & Annette Duncan and special love David Stuckey Sr.

Keisha was a strong, AMBITIOUS individual. Determination to succeed, hard-working, providing and being a Mother to the Loves of her Life David and Davi’. Through it all Keisha never gave up, with a smile on her face and those big eyes shining bright. 

Keesh kept the faith held on to God’s word, and her belief. No complaining, knowing God is Able! 

 Despite what she was going through Keisha kept the faith and held on to God’s word. Keisha’s words “MY FAITH IS BIGGER THAN MY FEARS!!!”.
