Lee Edward Haynes was born on February 12, 1951 in Union City, Tennessee to Louise Haynes and Harold Byers.
He graduated from Niles High School and upon graduation went to work for Williams Home Center and was employed there for more than 20 years. He worked for ColorTyme for six years, for Rent-A-Center for a time, and was manager of a Subway.
Lee was united in holy matrimony to Donna Scott on February 12, 2004. He dedicated his life to Christ at Fountain of Faith. His favorite pastimes were fishing, family gatherings and traveling.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Donna Haynes of South Bend, IN; his daughters and sons, Paula Grant, Monica Grant, Carl Grant and Kimberly (Scottie) Boykins, all of South Bend, IN; three sisters, Gladys (Ned) Slaughter of Buchanan, MI, Lena Haynes of Elkhart, IN and Roberta Haynes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; his step-children, Audra (Willie) Tinkney of Washington, DC, Craig (Cookie) Scott of Las Vegas, NV, Tony (Angela) Scott of South Bend, IN, Nebraska Scott of South Bend, IN and Lynn (Edward) Davies of Merrillville, IN; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; a brother, Roger Lee and three sisters, Frances Noonan, Georgia Davis and Rosie Lee Haynes.
