Lonnie J. Harrison, 73, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2026, surrounded by family. He was born on April 29, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the union of Jesse J. Harrison, Sr. and Ruby J. Harrison.
Lonnie was a strong athlete and proud graduate of Washington High School. He carried that same strength into adulthood, often serving as a protector and defender of his family. His loyalty was unwavering for his loved ones.
Lonnie J. Harrison was an officer at Westville Correctional Center for several years and worked security at Frank's Place.
Lonnie is survived by his children, Dewayne Harrison of Houston, Texas, and Jason (Nicole) House of Chicago, Illinois. He leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Casey (Deborah) Harrison, two sisters, Delores Harrison and Marla Harrison, two sisters-in-law, Shelaine Hodges and Deborah Harrison, all of South Bend, Indiana, six grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse J. Harrison, Sr. and Ruby J. Harrison, his son, Rodney Morton, three brothers, Lawerence Harrison, Jesse J. Harrison, Jr., and Charles I. Harrison, Sr.
