Lorenzo B. Blanton

Lorenzo B. Blanton was born on November 7, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana, to the union of Lorenzo and Julia Blanton. Lorenzo attended Riley high school and later became a master mechanic by those close to him, possessed an innate ability to assemble anything, a testament to his meticulous nature and unwavering resolve. He also worked for K-Mart for over 10 years. Lorenzo was a man who used his hands to create, restore, and preserve, a legacy that will continue to inspire those he has left behind.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Blanton of South Bend, IN, his children, Tony and Casey Blanton of Michigan, Cassandra Blanton of South Bend, IN, and Joshua Blanton of Louisiana, his stepchildren, Evette Wright, Reginald Brown and Walter Brown, his siblings Rowena of Louisiana, Ricardo of Michigan, and Julius of South Bend, IN. He also leaves to cherish his memory, 5 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Sr. and Julia Blanton. His light may have dimmed in this world, but it continues to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Lorenzo will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 4:00 PM EST at Alford's Mortuary, located at 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601. We invite you to join us in remembering and honoring Lorenzo's life.
