Mary Foster

Ms. Mary Louise Foster departed this life peacefully on June 16th, 2022, at her residence.

Mary Louise was born April 2nd, 1947, in Luxora, Arkansas to Clyde and Lily Foster. The family later moved to South Bend, Indiana where she attended Riley High School. Mary Louise was family oriented and enjoyed catering to her family. Mary Louise loved her family and dedicated her life to take care of her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Mary Louise had an unconditional love for people, and she was the ultimate nurturer and giver. She enjoyed collecting items for others in need. Mary Louise was very humble and soft spoken. She enjoyed spending time with her friends, listening to music, crafts, antiques, and going to the casino. Mary Louise worked for Real Services with the Grandmother Program and which catered to minority children in the city of South Bend, which was her passion.

Mary Louise was proceeded in death by her parents Clyde and Lily Foster. Siblings Ruth (James) Hankin, Erma (Ernest) Payne, Clyde (Dorothy) Foster Jr., Bobby Foster, and Mildred (Robert) Parker.

She is survived by her loving children Sons: Troy Lee and Andrew Lee. Daughters: Tina (Charles) Miller and Shaunta Foster. Special sister: Hertha Bethany. And a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren

A Memorial Gathering celebrating the life, love, labor, and legacy of Miss. Foster will be held on Saturday June 25, 2022 at 1 p.m in the chapel of Alford’s Mortuary, 1222 Napier St., South Bend, IN., 46601. Arrangements have been entrusted with Alford’s Mortuary Inc. - South Bend, IN.
