Michael Brooks, II Obituary

Michael William Brooks Jr., born on July 16, 1967 to the union of Michael William Brooks Sr. and Darnella Everson-Brooks in Gary, Indiana. He later attended Washington High School in South Bend, Indiana, graduating in 1985.

Michael joined Greater Friendship Church and then attended Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church.

Michael loved spending time with his family; talking with “Uncle George” about life and the Lord; writing poetry, music, composing gospel raps; singing his composed lyrics; joking around; loved little children.

Michael laughed all the time; always had a big smile on his face; making jokes and cracking up at his own jokes; warm, friendly personality. He always set goals for himself and he would come by or call “Uncle George” when he had reached one of his goals, like when he purchased his first new car, getting his job at Amazon; when he joined church and how he was working in church. He always would come by and talk to “Uncle George” about the positive and negative things going on in his life and ask for advice; he loved his father very much and he missed him dearly; he knew the Lord and he always talked about God having his back despite what he was going through in life.
