Mitchell Edwards

Mitchell Edwards, a resident of South Bend, Indiana, formerly of Masury, Ohio, passed on to his reward on January 21, 2020 in his residence from natural causes at the age of 88. Mitchell Edwards was born on May 11, 1931 in Cheraw, South Carolina to Rose Mitchell and Mary (Lee) Edwards.

Mitchell served his country in the Armed Forces of the United States from 1951 until 1953 when he was Honorably Discharged. Mitchell worked for Wheatland Tube Company 45 years until his retirement.

Brother Mitchell was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ in 1972 and eventually became an Evangelist. Special thanks to the Church of Jesus Christ and Harbor Light Hospice for their love and care. He has done many good works throughout the community, nation and in Malawi, Africa. He has worked for the Lord faithfully and diligently with long-standing service.

Mitchell is survived by three children: Michelle (Nestor) Gomez of South Bend, Indiana, Michael Edwards of San Diego, California and Eleanor (Bobby) Armstrong of South Bend, Indiana; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mitchell was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Edwards; brothers: Norman Edwards and James Edwards; and a sister, Alma Ragland.
