Mother Louise I. Bethany, Beloved Saint, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister transitioned into the arms of the Lord on October 5, 2021 after a brief illness at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

Mother Bethany was a member of Elizabeth Memorial Church of God in Christ in the city of South Bend, Indiana for over 50 years. She was under the leadership of the late Pastor John Wilson, the late Pastor William H. Wilson and the present Pastor Joe Howard. She was found working, giving, cooking, and loving.
Mother Bethany’s service as a CNA at Cardinal Nursing Home began in 1966 and ended only due to her brief illness in August of 2021. She missed only 2 days of work throughout her 55 years of service. She received a National Senior Community Award for Certified Nursing Assistants in 2015 and the Senior Living Award as a Clinical Staff Member in 2017.
