Naydene B. Paysoure, also known as Maya Dean, was born on the 14th of March, 1936 in, NY, USA. A compassionate, dedicated, and spirited woman, Naydene devoted her life to the service and support of others. She transitioned from this life on the 2nd of April, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and healing.
Naydene's career was a testament to her supportive nature. She began her journey in the field of addiction treatment in Brooklyn, New York, where she completed a Clinical Counselor Internship from 1976-1978. She went on to serve as a Mental Health consultant with Addiction and Research Treatment Incorporation from 1978-2000. Naydene then moved to South Bend, Indiana, where she became a valued Chemical Dependency Counselor at YWCA St. Joseph County from 2003-2007. Her service in the field of social work spanned over three decades, during which she touched countless lives with her dedication and compassion. In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Naydene embodied this sentiment, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those she helped.
She is survived by her loving brother and preceded in death by her parents, Rosco Paysoure and Debrah Brown. A service in honor of Naydene's life will be held on Thursday, 11 Apr 2024 at 11:00amCDT at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana, 46601.
