Nicola Ann Robertson Obituary

Nicola "Nikki" Anne Askew Robertson, 73, was born on December 8, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed away on June 8, 2026, in South Bend, Indiana.

Nikki graduated from Niles High School in 1970 and went on to earn her nursing degree from Baltimore College on June 10, 1984. In 1991, she and her boys moved to Gary, Indiana, where she continued her career as a dedicated nurse in the mental health field. Through her hard work and dedication, she rose to the top of her field and served as Head Nurse at St. Catherine's. Nikki had a true passion for helping others and was deeply committed to caring for her patients throughout her career. She retired from Beacon Health in 2021.

Outside of her profession, Nikki enjoyed watching black and white movies and television shows and cherished long conversations with her close family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring spirit, compassion, and devotion to those she loved.

Nikki was preceded in death by her mother, Anne Moore, and her brother, Taylor Askew.

She is survived by her sons, Adam (Arlicia) Robertson, and Carlton Alexander Robertson II. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Aaron Robertson, Ashley (Joshua) Golder, Danayla Robertson, and Christian Robertson; her great-grandchildren, Dearon Robertson, Eden Golder, and Joshua Golder Jr; and a host of nephews and cousins, dear friends, and family.

Nikki’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her, forever in our hearts.
