Nicole LaMae Arnold

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved Nicole LaMae Arnold, fondly known as Niki, who departed this life on July 9, 2023.

Born on May 10, 1984, in South Bend, IN, USA, Nicole's 39 years painted a vibrant picture of a spirited life lived fully and passionately. Amid the heartache, we celebrate and cherish the life of a loving mother, a creative soul, and an adventurous spirit who made a remarkable impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

Nicole was a devoted Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for 8 years, where her loving nature found its true calling. Her vibrant spirit and unwavering commitment to her patients won her admiration from both her colleagues and those she cared for. In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Nicole lived this truth every day, touching countless lives with her warmth, compassion, and creativity.

Nicole leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, her mothers: Kathy Clark and Naomi Tennison; her siblings, Erica Bonds, Kevin Arnold, Andre Arnold, Kathy Spells, Louis Clark, and Heather Clark; her sons, Timothy Jr and Tiondre Barnes; and her adored grandmother, Colleen Arnold. She was preceded in death by her stepbrother, Louis Jr. Above all else, what mattered most to Nicole were her children - her greatest source of pride and joy. In the words of Elizabeth Stone, "Making the decision to have a child - it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body." Nicole's heart will forever walk in the lives of her sons, a testament to her unyielding love and devotion as a mother.

Let us remember Nicole for the spirited, loving, creative, and adventurous woman that she was, and may her memory forever live in our hearts. 

A celebration of life will be held in honor of Nicole on Wednesday July 19, 2023, from 11 A.M - 1 P.M in the chapel of Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601. Pastor Phil Rossi will bring the words of comfort. Inurnment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Arrangements have been lovingly entrusted with Alford's Mortuary Inc.
