Nyesha La’Shay Crockett was born June 3, 1993, to Rolanda Wiley and Adrian Lewis of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
She attended school in Michigan, South Bend, and completed her formal education in Elkhart where she attended Elkhart Central High School; played on the basketball team, and was also a cheerleader.
She loved family gatherings and knitting.
On Tuesday, May 18, 2021, God dispatched one of His Angels to open the gates and welcome Nyesha into eternal rest. Her memories will continue to live through her loving family: mother and stepfather, Rolanda (Eric) Samples of Elkhart; her father and stepmother: Adrian (Keosha) Lewis of Grand Rapids, Michigan; her sisters: Bianca Wiley of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Jmerian Howell, Brianna Lewis, and Andrianna Reynolds; one brother, Eric Samples Jr. She also leaves her grandparents: Addie (Andre’) Coleman and Beverly Louis, Aunts Dewanna Williams of South Bend, Indiana; and her aunt, Earline Wiley of Kalamazoo, Michigan, Adurey Allen, Anglea Lewis, Latasha Allen, Aneshia Lewis, and her Aunt LaJeinta (Randall) Anderson. Her uncles: Willie Cornelius Jr. and Fred Madden Jr. She also leaves her favorite cousin, Jazmine Cornelius whom she loved and enjoyed shopping and keeping company with. They were together as much as possible and bonded more closely when Nyesha lived with them for a while.
Nyesha was predeceased by her son, Micahyah Richardson; and her daughter, Alaiyah Crockett; grandfathers: George Williams, Albert Roman, and Johnny Bruins; grandmother, Roberta Wiley; uncle, Charles Pete; aunts: Della Wiley, Ora Wiley, and April Allen; her uncle, Earl Wiley; and her two cousins: Donte’ Wiley and David McGlothian.
