Pastor Amos Davis Sr., 83, passed away at 8:45 p.m. at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.
Pastor Amos Davis was born October the 23rd, 1940, in Franklinton, Louisiana to Luke and Mary Lee (Fox) Davis who both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death, a son, Kenneth Wayne Davis, Gladys Marie Davis. Amos was the last living child of this union. Siblings preceding him are Mayola Ray, Cora Davis, Rosemary James, Josie Adams, Lucy Mae Tate, Bertha Lee Davis, Luke Jr., (Mayola) Davis and Leola Williams.
Amos leaves to cherish his memories the love of his life for over 64 years, Edna Faye Davis. Pastor Amos preached the Gospel until his health declined. Pastor Amos two daughters, Willie Jean Peters and Marilyn Davis, three sons, Amos Davis, Willie (Renee) Davis, and Jerry (Tonya) Davis all of South Bend, IN.
He was blessed with 24 grandchildren and a host of great grands and great-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
