Pecola Cook-Campbell Obituary

Pecola Cook Campbell, was born to Bobby Joe Cook Sr. and Idella Cook Booker on July 5, 1955, in Metter, GA. From there the family relocated to Augusta, GA in 1971 and resided there until the family relocated to South Bend, IN in 1979 where Pecola resided raising her children until she relocated to Grand Rapids, MI, in the 80's where she resided for a few years before returning back to South Bend, In. From there, Pecola relocated back to Grand Rapids MI, in the early 90's where she resided until she relocated to Indianapolis, IN, in the early part of 2023 where she remained until her death. Pecola dedicated her life to raising her children and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. 

Pecola is survived by her mother Idella Booker of South Bend, IN, children Starsky (Michelle) Cook, Ceasar Cook both of Indianapolis, IN, Yolanda Derrickson of Mishawaka, IN, Edward Campbell and Roman Campbell both of Grand Rapids, MI, siblings, Barbara (Robert) Taylor of South Bend, IN, Virginia Booker of Indianapolis, IN, and  Teresa (Joseph) Beard of Mishawaka, IN, Tonual Booker, Christabel (Lonnie) Williamson of Minneapolis, MN, Charlie (Roy) Cook of Augusta, GA, Bobby Joe Cook III of Oakwood, GA, Lee (Tonya) Booker Sr. of South Bend, IN, William Cook of Queens, NY, Billy (Tam) Cook of Canton, GA, and Johnny (Melanie) Cook of Stone Mountain, GA.

Pecola was preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Pierce, her father Bobby Joe Cook Sr., brother Bobby Joe Cook Jr., sister-in-law Gloria Jean Cook, brother Mark Cook, son Roland Campbell, and grandson Tychius "Ty" Derrickson.
