Mrs. Peggy L. Williams-Jackson, born on March 13, 1957, in Chicago, IL, departed this life on March 19, 2025, exactly six days after her birthday.
Peggy was the life of the party when anyone needed a place to stay, or if you just wanted to hang out in her backyard for a cookout every weekend. She is truly going to be missed.
Mrs. Williams worked for FSSA for more than 30 years. She started her career as a case worker, then eventually moved up to a supervisor role until she retired. Her hobbies were going to the casino, listening to music and helping out anyone whether she knew them or not.
Peggy Williams was born to the late union of John Earl & Decoater Parker, who both preceded her in death.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Tico Jackson; grandsons, Nikwain Williams and Cornelious Dovon Williams; one granddaughter, Ciara Williams; her great-grandchildren, Christian, Blessin, Kashmer, Journee, Mia, Zavier and Zayden; her siblings, Barbara (O.P.) Neal, Danny (Alice) Parker, Darlen (Syvester) Mays, Brenda (Rex) Taylor and Felicia (Wadell) Newman and Jackie all of South Bend, IN.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Earl and Decoater Parker; her son, Cornelious Williams; and siblings, Mildred Gates, John Earl Parker Jr., Steven Parker, Janice Esther and Michael Parker.
In remembering Peggy, we celebrate a life characterized by love, care and unwavering dedication. We invite you to share your cherished memories, stories, and photos of Peggy on the memorial page. Your shared moments will serve as a comforting reminder of the exceptional woman we were all so fortunate to know. In the words of 2 Corinthians 4:18, "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." It is this unseen love, kindness, and spirit of Peggy Jackson-Williams that will continue to live on in our hearts.
