Mr. Preston Earlie Fleming Sr., 82, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 9:44 p.m. on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 20, 1938, in Columbia, Tennessee to Hollis and Nora (Head) Fleming.
Mr. Fleming is survived by two sons: Preston Earlie Fleming Jr., and Shawn C. Major, both of South Bend, Indiana; two daughters: Dr. Cheryl (Wayne) Cooper of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Fern D. Major-Marable of South Bend, Indiana; 10 grandchildren: Levi, Aneila, Maria, Evelyn, Morgan, Michael, Mario, Shawn, Brien, and Skylar; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gladys Hamilton of South Bend, Indiana; brothers: Louis (Shirley) Fleming of South Bend, Indiana, and Joseph (Jimmie) Fleming of Chesterton, Virginia; and a special niece, Linda White-Sanders of South Bend, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ella White; and brothers: Pasco Fleming, and McRay ‘Neal’ Fleming.
Mr. Fleming loved nature, fishing, hunting, and arts and crafts. He served honorably in the United States Airforce, and he was employed by Bendix-Honeywell.
