Regina Anderson

Regina Anderson of South Bend departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday July 27, 2022. 

Regina was a beautiful woman inside and out. To know her was to love her, her spontaneous personality would always be noticed in a room. Regina was a devoted Muslim who practiced her faith as much as possible. She was an active member of masjid and spread her teachings throughout her community. She was blessed and highly favored who created family and friends where ever she went. Married to her husband, Donald “Ray” Anderson of 44 years who she loved and cherished until her last breath. Together they had four children, Angina “Angel” Cruthird, Richard “Amp” (Jennifer) Cruthird, Hamzah Anderson and Jameela Anderson. Along with being a loving mother she was an adoring grandmother to 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. In her earlier years Regina grew up in Buchanan, MI to mother, Jaunita Weston, who have proceeded her in passing along with her siblings, Coretta Jones and Ramona Cashier. Her surviving siblings, Emanuel, Anna Newbill and Edith Bullock continue to love and celebrate her. Although being born and raised in Michigan, she moved her family to South Bend, IN where she attended secondary education at Notre Dame. Regina lived a triumphant life overcoming many obstacles that she faced with a light heart and a smile on her face. Her presence on this earth will live on through her surviving family who will love her forever.

Visitation for Regina will be held on Friday July 29, 2022 at 12 Noon at Alford's Mortuary, 1222 Napier Street, South Bend, IN 46601. Services will be held on Friday July 29, 2022, 1:30 P.M at the Islamic Society of Michiana, 3310 Hepler Street, South Bend, IN 46635. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
