Rita Anderson Obituary

In the early morning hours of November 5th, 2024, the world lost a remarkable woman, Rita Ann Anderson, aged 73. Born on October 27th, 1951, in Anderson, Indiana, Rita Ann was an emblem of resilience and unconditional love. Her life was a testament to her faith, as she lived her Christian beliefs through her compassionate actions, reflected in the verse "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." (1 Peter 4:10)

Rita Ann was a woman of many talents, who found her calling in helping others. She dedicated over two decades of her life to the service of others, working as a Qualified Medication Aide at Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Her dedication was such that she obtained her QMA license in 1984, a feat that she considered one of her defining achievements. Her generous spirit extended beyond her professional life too, as she devoted much of her time volunteering at local homeless shelters and food pantries, providing food, blankets, words of encouragement, and most importantly, love to all.

Rita Ann was a beacon of unwavering support for her family, always putting them above everything else. She was a loving mother to her children: John, Joseph, Edward, Helena, and Timothy McCaffery; and a caring mother-in-law to Renee McCaffery. Her love and support knew no bounds, and she left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Rita Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grady Marshall, her father, mother, Beaulah Beal, and her brother, Rex Beal. In the wake of this immeasurable loss, we invite you to celebrate Rita Ann's life. Please share your memories and upload photos of her to the memorial page. Your stories and pictures will serve as a reminder of the extraordinary woman she was and the lasting impact she has left on our hearts. As we mourn her loss, let us remember and cherish the vibrant, loving, and resilient woman that was Rita Ann Anderson.
