Robert "Cliff" Sanders

Mr. With a heart full of love and memories, we announce the passing of Robert Sanders, affectionately known as Cliff, on May 24, 2024. Born on April 25, 1961, in Flint, Michigan, Robert lived a life that was as vibrant and full of energy as he was.

He made Elkhart, Indiana his home, where he was not only a respected member of the community but also an indispensable part of the Elkhart Tool and Die family for 25 years. In the words of Albert Einstein, "Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile," and Robert, indeed, lived his life for those he loved most.

Robert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Annette Sanders, whom he married on June 3, 1995. Their union was blessed with three wonderful children; Brandon, Shalonda, and Tinesha. Robert's love for his family was unparalleled. He often said, "Family is not an important thing, it's everything," and he lived these words every day. His legacy lives on through his children and his siblings; Anthony, James, Wesley, and Susan Malone. Robert was also the cherished nephew of Aunt Rudy Williams. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Dorothy Sanders, and his grandson, Keyontae Jones. Robert, known for his generous spirit and infectious laughter, made an impact on everyone he met. His love for his family and his passion for his work were evident in his everyday life. He was the kind of person who could make a room light up with his presence. He had a unique ability to bring joy to others and to make them feel special and valued.

As Maya Angelou said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel," and this was true for Robert.
