Rodney Romale Sleepers, born on July 27, 1985, in Elkhart, IN, departed from us far too soon on November 7, 2025. His absence has left a void in our hearts, but his infectious laughter and immense kindness have left an indelible mark on us all. Rodney was a man of empathetic nature, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. He was humble, never seeking recognition for his deeds, yet his actions spoke volumes about his character.
Rodney was a warm-hearted man who loved watching movies, football, and mixed martial arts fighting events. His family meant the world to him, and he always put them first. His thoughtful nature was evident in his everyday interactions. He was known for his humor, lighting up any room he entered with his funny stories and jokes. Rodney was a proud holder of an Associate degree from the University of DePaul Indiana. He may have been unemployed but his real work was at the heart of the community. Rodney was driven by a deep commitment to his community, dedicating countless hours at the Oliver Building in South Bend.
Rodney is survived by his loving father, Rodney Sr., his devoted brothers, Marvelle and Mercedes Sleepers, and his caring grandmother, Gloria Allen and a host of uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Tanya Sleepers. Rodney's life was a testament to his generous spirit, his boundless love for his family, and his dedication to his community. His life was a beautiful journey that touched numerous lives and left a significant impact on all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
