On March 7, 2025, Mr. Ronald R. Cole was brought home in God's hands after a long battle with health issues.
Ronald Russell Cole was born in South Bend, Indiana on September 6, 1956, as the son of James Russell Cole and Jo-Alice Tate who both preceded him in death. Along his death several family members that includes Brothers: Quentin L. Cole, William S. Bloch, sister Jo-Alice Tate Nailon, daughter Christie T. White-Hooks, and granddaughter Kaylin S. Cole.
He leaves behind not to mourn but to celebrate life with his lovely wife, Linda Johnson-Cole of Stanford, Florida. Ronald's children of South Bend, IN.; Kazie Cole, Lasheka Cole, Latoya Cole-Hernandez (Ray), of Elkhart, IN., and Charmaine Buckingham-Giger of South Bend, IN., and a bonus son Michael Cole., of South Bend, IN. His siblings include Keith Bloch (Robin) of Havre de Grace, Maryland, James Ernest Mason of Galesburg, IL Micheal Cole and Jeffery Cole of Akron, Ohio. Maxine Cole (Eddie) of Sherwood, Arkansas, Johnise Bloch and Kyna Glass of South Bend, IN. Ronald has nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren along with a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; in addition to many close friends and people that loved him and that he cherished dearly.
In 1977, Ronald enlisted into the United States Army where he served as a soldier and was released with an Honorable discharge. After returning home, Ronald worked for many years in construction, home repair, and lawn care.
Ronald Cole "the man the myth the legend" was a son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and husband that loved his family. He was a man of many talents, skills, and had the gift of gab. He was a man who knew no strangers. His days on this earth were filled with love, laughter, and frequently long-winded conversations combined with snappy commentary that often rhymed which made him a joy to be around. Ronald loved to travel and be on the road driving to and from state to state and house to house checking on family and friends. He loved to fish, cook, and eat; especially the eat part.
