Ruben Granado Sr., 47, gained his wings on April 15, 2025, surrounded by his family at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana. Ruben was born on August 22, 1977, in Miami, Florida to union of Carmen and the late Marcos Granado.
Surviving Ruben are 5 sons, Michael Perez of Florida, Marcos (Jenny & NaRiah), Ruben "Reno" Jr., Fransisco "Frank" and Nicholas "Nick" Granado, 1 daughter, Miracle, all of South Bend, IN, 2 grandbabies, Javier "Javi" and Amor Granado (the ones that owned his heart.) He is also survived by his mother, Carmen Granado, 5 brothers, Herman Granado (Shannon Landry), Michael (Michelle) Granado, Geronimo Granado, and Eddie (Yvonne) Granado, Oscar (Eva) Granado all of South Bend, IN., 2 sisters, Carmen Granado of Bremen, IN and Esther (Juan) Granado of MI., 3 sisters-in-law, Alondra (Sal) Molina, Amanda (Sergio) Zmyslo of South Bend, IN and Elida Ramos of Florida. Ruben was Tio to numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the mother of his children Rosa.
Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Marcos Granado and a brother Ricky Granado.
Ruben will always be remembered as the best father, grandpa, son, brother, Tio, nephew, cousin and friend that he could be with the biggest heart. He worked as a concrete finisher and took deep pride in his work. Ruben loved to watch movies. He was a fan of Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes but loved a good Notre Dame game too. He will be greatly missed by everyone and remembered for his huge heart.
