Mrs. Rubie Leggett was born on March 3, 1930 in Ruleville, Mississippi to Mance (1942) and Ella Nora (McClendon 1989) Williams. Rubie or “Granny” often called that by her loved ones, settled in South Bend, Indiana after leaving Ruleville, Mississippi.
When not inspecting missiles for Honeywell (from where she retired), Granny was often caring for her children and loved ones. Rubie enjoyed gardening, shopping, traveling, sewing, reading her Bible and most of all; milkshakes and chicken nuggets from McDonalds.
Mrs. Rubie Leggett leaves to cherish her memory her son, Will (Christine Dotson) Leggett Jr.; granddaughters: Tekona Henry of South Bend, Indiana and Shayla Leggett (Rubie’s great-grandson Larry Brown III) of Indianapolis, Indiana, William Leggett of South Bend and Delawn Leggett of Phoenix, Arizona and six more great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Leggett was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister, Lorene Carpenter, close cousin Carrie Griffin and daughter, Carolyn Staggers.

Rubie loved to talk over a cup of coffee and share nuggets of knowledge, wisdom and love.
