Ruby P. Kyle

April 17, 1940 ~ February 5, 2021 (age 80)

Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Pearl Kyle, 80, who resided on Bella Vista St., in South Bend, Indiana passed away Friday, February 5, 2021. Ruby was born to the union of Leonard Young and Mourine (Buchanan) Allen on April 17, 1940, in Tupelo, Mississippi.

Rudy relocated to South Bend, Indiana in 1958. Ruby worked at Essex Wire in Elkhart, Indiana, retired from Wells Electronics in South Bend, Indiana after 19 years, and St. Vincent DePaul in South Bend, Indiana for 11 years after retirement.

Ruby was a member of The Spiritual Israel Church & Its Army since 1962 where she served in many different capacities: Church Secretary, Kitchen Treasurer, and member of the Mother’s Board for 50 years.

Ruby was your go-to person if you needed good sound advice. She would let you know when you were right and had no problems letting you know when you were wrong. If you didn’t want the truth and was only looking for someone to say what you wanted them to say, she was not the one to go to. But if you listened and took her advice your life would be much easier. One of her favorite things to tell you was life is about living not just existing.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Erskine and Larry Allen; a sister, Annie Spearman; and father of her children, Thomas L. Kyle.

Ruby leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter, Denise (Jimmy L.) Boyd Jr; and one son, Brian G. (Consuelo) Kyle both of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren: Christopher Trotter Jr., Samuel (Tori) Gonzalez, and Valentina Gonzalez; five great-grandchildren: Madison Gonzalez, Yasmin Gonzalez, Luna Gonzalez, Sol Gonzalez, and Cardell Weaver. Siblings: Virgie Young, Mary Allen of South Bend, Indiana, Johnni (Robert) Toombs of Elkhart, Indiana, Robert (Cathi) Allen of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Sheila (Ronald) Atkins of River Forest, Illinois; Godchildren Stephanie and Steven Harper; and special friend, Velma Holliday; along with other relatives and friends.
