On Tuesday, November 2nd,2023, at 7:20 AM Mrs. Ruth T. (Causey) Mack Was called home at the age of 80 at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart IN.
Ruth life begin in Hollandale, Ms. When she was born to the union of Lemar and ( Chinese) Burnett Causey On January the 15th, 1943. The youngest of 8. Ruth started elementary school in Sikeston MO. The family moved to Elkhart IN and she completed elementary school at Roosevelt and Samuel Strong schools. Ruth graduated from Elkhart high school in 1961, she also graduated from Ivy Tech State College in South Bend Indiana.
Ruth married Elder Clinton Mack, On August 3rd, 1968. They were married for 46 years. Elder Clinton Mack went to be with the Lord on October the 5th, 2014. They travel all over the USA, preaching and teaching the Gospel and many souls were saved. They Pastored the Guiding light COGIC for 21 years in Elkhart IN.
Ruth loved writing and reading poetry. She was also an excellent seamstress and used her talent to sew most of her clothing. She also sewed for many children in her lifetime, her(God-daughters), James Gladney, all the little girls in her wedding and nieces also and many others. Her love of God was #1 on her list, studying his word and loving his people. Taking care of her husband was high on her list of” loves”. She liked keeping Elder Mack at home during his disabled years from 1987 until his death in 2014. Missionary, sister, Ruth retired from Sears Roebuck after 30 years of service in the department of receiving, cashier, customer service and human resource. She took an early retirement to care for her husband and her sister.
Mother Ruth T (Causey) Mack Is survived by two nieces Ruth Bloch (lennard) Wiley and Mary D. (Wayne) Malone Of Elkhart IN and one nephew James Lemar ( Danielle) Gladney of South Bend In. A Host of great to great, great great nieces and nephews. Sister in-law Sharon Causey and 2 God-daughters Tammy (Adams) Kimbrough and Talisha (Foster) Barhams. A host of Relatives and friends.
Loved ones preceding her in death includes: her parents, Lemar and Chinese Causey, her husband Elder Clinton Mack, three sister Ollie bell Causey Taylor, Mary Elizabeth Causey, and Lucille (Causey) Gladney, four brothers; Gavin Causey Mayfield Causey, Nehemiah Causey and Elmo Caney Causey.
