Sarah Johnson

Sarah Snow Johnson peacefully transitioned into rest Wednesday, December 30 at Golden Living Center Fountainview.  Mrs. Sarah was born October 14, 1916, in Grady, Arkansas to the late James and Alice Snow.

She lived the majority of her life in South Bend. She grew up in a Christian home and committed her life to our Lord and Savior as a child.  She married Wilson Johnson Sr. (deceased). Their children are Alberta (George) Husband Summerfield, Florida, Mablene Lovelady (deceased), Mary Ann (Tony) Bethel East Chicago, Indiana, Alice Allen, Wilson Jr. (Jessie) Johnson, Sarah Johnson (deceased), Levunia Johnson (deceased) and Gloria (Chester Sr) Ellis.  Sarah raised her grandson Damont (TT) Johnson from the age of six months.   She is survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Sarah takes her bow at 104 to rest in peace among those who preceded her in death:  parents and siblings Lily Snow, Jesse Snow, John Snow, Jim Snow, and Sammie Hampton.  

The family appreciates Golden Living Center Fountainview staff for taking great care of our mother/grandmother for over ten years.

Due to current health and safety concerns, the service will be private for the family after visitation.  

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.  Both will be livestreamed.
