Shirley “Peachy” Mae Agnew, 75 years old, went home to be with our Lord. She passed away peacefully at her home on April 05, 2023. Born January 11, 1948, Born to Monroe and Estelle Franklin at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN.
Shirley, graduated from Riley High School, South Bend, IN, in 1967. In 1972 Shirley received a Degree from Ivy Technical College of South Bend. Shortly after graduating Shirley “Peachy” moved to Lansing, MI with her 4 children and 1st husband, Willard Dean Sr. where she was employed by the State of Michigan for over 20 years. She was also employed by The South Bend Community School Corporation
Shirley’s memory is being celebrated and cherished by 1 daughter and 3 sons: Carmela Dean-Duncan (DelCarlos Sr.), Terrence (Darnell) Dean, Germany, Willard (Jillian) Dean, Las Vegas, and Mark Dean, South Bend.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Agnew on August 18, 2012. Shirley also leaves behind her bonus family members: Demetrius, Robert (Sandra), Ronald and Donald, Sherrill, Jill, Shanta, Tamara, and Paris, Crystal (passed away); as well as a host of grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and multitude of nieces, nephews, other family and friends that’s too many to name. Special Niece (Roomie) Pamela Franklin, Special Nephew: Larry Owens; Brothers: Howard (Bernadine) Franklin, Joe (Gladys) Franklin – (Preceded siblings: Mary Katherine Franklin, Henry Paul Franklin, Monroe Clayborne Franklin, Nathaniel Franklin. Sister: Emma Carter; Special Friends: Ethel Taylor “Doll”, Sandra Gary, Gwen Lax, Elnora Chism.

Granny’s greatest joy was spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Granny loved you!!
