Shirley Jean Love-Sizemore

Mrs. Shirley Jean Love-Sizemore transitioned peacefully at the age of 74 on December 26, 2020. On March 19, 1946, Shirley was born to Leroy Love Sr. and Cora Love. Shirley was a lifelong resident of South Bend, Indiana.

She loved the Lord. As a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ, she exuded love, compassion, kindness, and respect to all individuals she encountered. She is a wife, mother, and woman who embodies the character and holiness of God. Her hobbies and favorite activities were singing, cooking (famous for sweet potato pies and dressing), family gatherings, and playing cards. In 1986, she met and was courted by Don Sizemore and the two were married a year later. 

Loved ones left to cherish her memory include her husband of 34 years, Don Sizemore; her mother, Cora Love of Mishawaka, Indiana; six sons: Curtis (Rochelle) Walton Jr., Cortney (Orneshia) Diggins, Edker McLeod Jr., all of South Bend, Indiana; Quincy (Aaron) McLeod of Goshen, Indiana; Torrence (Candace) McLeod of LaGrange, Indiana; Jermaine McLeod of McPherson, Kansas; one daughter, Donna (Danny) Gerencer of Mishawaka, Indiana; three brothers: Charles Love, Terry Love, of South Bend, Indiana, Johnny (Georgianna) Love of Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters: Gail (Wayman) Husband of South Bend, Indiana, Beverly (Raymond) Love-Holt of Mishawaka, Indiana, Sharon (Wayne) Clark of Surprise, Arizona; best friend of 50+ years, Barbara K. Chase of Killeen, Texas; 40+ grandchildren, 50+ great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shirley was preceded in death by Leroy Love Sr. (father); Leroy Love Jr. (brother); Ollie Mae Exum (sister); Carlos Diggins (Son); Cherise Diggins (daughter); Renell Exum (nephew), and Rochelle Exum (niece).
