With profound sorrow, we announce the passage of our beloved Shunette Jacarol Brown who was called home on August 30, 2025. Born on November 27, 1981, in Chicago, IL, Shunette was a loving daughter, sister, mother, and friend. She was a vibrant and talented soul with a heart full of love for everyone around her. Shunette's life was a testament to her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith. Her life verse was Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me," a verse that encapsulated her indomitable spirit.
Shunette was a graduate of Penn High School and pursued a career in healthcare, a field that perfectly aligned with her caring nature. As a Qualified Medication Aide, she spent her days providing love and care to those in need. Her hard work and dedication were recognized when she received her QMA and CNA certificates, achievements that she wore with great pride. Yet, these professional achievements paled in comparison to the love and joy she found in her family.
Shunette is survived by her loving mother, Carolyn Brown; her cherished children, Jalin Brown, Damarion Tobar, Beautiful Tobar, and Kavell Mason; her precious grandson, D'Anjre Tobar; and her siblings, Stephanie Brown, Abigail(Maurice) McThune, Dorcas Eaton, Shurlan Stidhum, Artimese Jones, Rhonda (A.C Cephus, Nakia Stidhum, Tamelia Jones, Erica Lauderdale, Lynnette Lauderdale, Sofia Lee Bess, Rochelle Bess, Cory (Leana) Stidhum, Terrance Stidhum, Michael Ward, Kenneth Dogan , Eric Lauderdale, Lamone Lauderdale, and Damion Anderson. As we mourn her loss, let us also rejoice in the fact that she lived a life full of love, faith, and service, leaving a lasting legacy for us all. "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
