Susie Mary Armstrong

Susie Mary Armstrong 80 of East Indiana Avenue South Bend Indiana passed away on April 3, 2022 at her residence. 

Susie was born in Jacksonville  Mississippi on August 23, 1941 to M.L. & Olitha Taylor who both preceded her in death along with a brother M.L. Taylor Jr and sister's  Dorothy Wickliffe, Lillie Hunter, Shirley Lattimore, Nicole Bullard and Patricia Taylor. 
 

Susie worked as a Dietary Cook for over thirty years. In 1965 she united in holy matrimony to John Henry Armstrong. Her passion was reading books. 
 

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her husband John Henry Armstrong, two daughters Yvonne Bell Armstrong and Laura Armstrong, seven sons Marcus Wright, Tyrone Vaughn, Sammy (Christina) Vaughn, Darryl (Rebecca) Porter Vaughn, John Armstrong Jr, Kelly Armstrong and William Armstrong, 30 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, three sisters  Rosie (Henry) Thomas, Ruthven Adams and Veronica Taylor, two brothers Jessie Taylor and Carnell Taylor along with a host of other relatives and friends. 

Services will be held at Alfords Mortuary 1222 Napier Street South Bend, IN 46601 on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., with viewing from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
