Tyree M. Grove

Tyree M. Grove passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, surrounded by family members. Tyree M. Grove was born July 24, 1972, in South Bend, IN. Mother, Mrs. Louise Jones (Barr). Father, Mr. Tommie L. Grove Jr. Tyree grew up on Diamond St and attended South Bend Community Schools.

Tyree was very unique, one of a kind. A tall, beautiful woman with big, beautiful eyes. A very proud Leo Lioness. Even at her weakest, she stilled showed unusual strength. Tyree was so down to earth, she always kept it real. She wouldn't hesitate to tell you how she really felt about something or someone.

Tyree loved spending time with nieces and nephews. Cooking, eating and laughing for hours. They thought she was hilarious with a pinch of gangsta. Tyree was very proud of being a part of the Grove family. She always kept pictures of her Grand and Great Grandparents with lots of Indian decoration in her home.

Tyree M. Grove is survived by a son, Rashad Grove whom she loved dearly and was so "Proud" of sisters, Judy Thompson Jones, Darlene Jones, Antonia M. Jones, Rita Grove, Michelle (Kitty) Sessom-Grove, brothers, Dewayne Allen Jones, Tony L. Grove, Joe Grove, Eddie Grove, Bobby Wade Grove and Bobby (Shalonda) McKinstry Grove all of South Bend, Indiana, David McKinstry Grove of Eutaw, Alabama, a longtime companion Jorge Capetillo, a special sister/niece, Carmen Thompson Collins, a loyal loving childhood friend, Monique "Nikki" Harvell and many other relatives.

Tyree is proceeded in death by her parents Mother Mrs. Louise Jones Barr, Father Mr. Tommie L. Grove, Jr. Maternal Grand Parents, Mr. and Mrs. Estelle Barr, Paternal Grand Parents Mr. and Mrs. Tommy L. Sr. and Clara Grove. A sister Terria D. Grove. Brothers Dempsey K. Jones, Dale Lee Jones, Danny Jones, Michael McKinstry Grove, and brother-in-law Armond A. Thompson.

We are all going to miss your late-night calls. Especially in your Spanish, Boston Persona (inside family joke). Sleep well our beautiful baby sister. You will always and forever live in our hearts. We look forward to seeing you again in paradise.
