Tyrone Michael Watford, Jr.

Tyrone Michael Watford, Jr., affectionately known by his family and friends as Stinker, Big Boy, and Biggie, passed away on October 9, 2024. Tyrone was born on January 10, 1977, in South Bend, Indiana, a place he made his home throughout his life. His generous spirit, loving nature, and humor made him a joy to be around. As a loyal father, brother, friend and family member, he was always there for those who needed him.

Tyrone was a vibrant individual who found joy in the simple pleasures of life like visiting the casino, playing 2K, watching movies, and enjoying his music. His laughter was infectious, especially when he was around his favorite cousin, Shanda, with whom he shared many moments of hilarity. Tyrone was also passionate about his family and had a keen talent for making each day count. His loyalty extended towards his loved ones and his money, which he valued. 

Tyrone is survived by his children: Carlos Mumpfrey, Lakayla Harris and Caleb Douglas; his grandchildren, Kyron Mumpfrey and Azisiah Payne; his brothers, Cheo Watford, Damon Watford, Demond Heisben, Roosevelt, Games Birkhead, and Donald Smith; his sisters, Shanda Hamilton, Dominique Parker, Ericka Parker, Domonique Parker, and Danielle Howard; his stepfather, Dennis Parker; his significant other Faneice Douglas and his God-daughters; Tarae, Rickyjah, and Dai'Juanna.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tyrone Sr. and Marilyn Coleman; his daughter, Hattie Watford; his grandparents, Columbus Sr., Dorothy Coleman, Sarah Watford, and Howell Watford; and his brother, Charles Watford.

A funeral service for Tyrone will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 10:00 am EDT at the Olivet AME Church, located at 719 North Notre Dame Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, 46617. We invite all those who knew and loved Tyrone to join us in celebrating his life.
