Walter Jackson Obituary


 Walter Jaa Jackson was called home to be with the Lord, on April 12, 2018, after an extended battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Walter was born February 6, 1975, in Torrance California to Walter William Jackson and Jeanette (Thomas) Jackson. He married Kiana D.(Sanders) Jackson in 1996 of South Bend, Indiana. From this union a son, Christian Jackson was born in 2004. Walter was a member of Mount Carmel Missionary church and had recently been baptized in 2017. Walter Jaa Jackson graduated from Carson high school and Cerritos college. Jaa worked in various fields during his lifetime a few of which were merchandising and security. Jaa loved his family, music and sports. He was a lifelong Chicago Bears and Boston Celtic fan. He would spend hours debating with anyone who opposed his teams. Walter greatest joy was his son Christian Jackson. He was an excellent father and enjoyed spending time with his son. He attended all football, soccer and basketball games, Shakespeare plays and school events. He instilled in him a strong work ethic for school and Civic obligations.
  Walter was preceded in death by, His father Walter W. Jackson, his mother, Jeanette Jackson, his brother Vaughn Edwards and his nephew Vincent Edwards Jr. Walter is survived by his son Christian Jackson, Brother Vincent Edwards, nieces LaNaisha Edwards, Evelyn Edwards, Zaniyah Sconiers, nephews Anthony Sanders, Jessie James Fitzgerald III, Carter Newhouse, JaBreeh Martin- Davis and former wife Kiana Jackson. Jaa is also survived by a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and in-laws. 
  Home going service will be held at Pentecostal cathedral on Western Ave. In South bend, Indiana on Friday April 20, 2018. The viewing will be at 3pm and the service will be at 4. All are welcome. Donations and flowers can be sent to 1010 West Jefferson St. South Bend Indiana or delivered to Alford's Mortuary 1222 Napier St. South bend Indiana 46601.
