William Burdine Jr.

William Burdine Jr., 59, left this earthly life on Thursday August 13, 2020 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Indiana. William was born to William and Courtney Burdine on June 25, 1961 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

William “Chatter” was good hearted, he reached out to help everyone, especially the homeless. He’d give the shirt off his back to someone in need and his last bite of food as well. He loved to keep us all laughing. He loved playing basketball and dancing. Chatter was a very hard worker, even when he was unable to work he’d find something to do. He enjoyed being with family on all occasions. He will truly be missed.

Those left to cherish his memory include one son, Mark Burdine; three daughters: Courtney, Marva and Ursula Burdine; brothers: Leonard (Misty) Burdine of South Bend, Indiana, Donald Lee and John Edward Burdine both of San Diego, California; sisters: Cassandra Burdine of South Bend, Indiana, Delores Burdine of Albany, New York, Mary, Linda and Evelyn Gregory all of South Bend, Indiana, a close friend, Robert Gamble; along with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and associates.

William “Chatter” was preceded in death by his mother and father, Courtney Louise and William Burdine; sisters: Demetria Ann and Trina Louise Burdine; brothers: Ronald Dean and William Earl Burdine.

Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
