Mrs. Yvonne Graham, of South Bend Indiana, traveled to California where she spent many years and raised her children. Later in life she spent over thirty years in Stone Mountain Georgia. Her final moments were in Navarre Florida before she transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Sunday February 16, at 1:02AM.
Yvonne church home was SpirtInnYou. The Pastor is Clarence Conigan and the First Lady is Tomecca Conigan. Where the congregation lovingly called her Auntie, she was one of the oldest if not the oldest member. Yvonne was all in with her home church. Whether it was cooking, events, donating and let’s not forget a spicy word sometimes needed and maybe sometimes just over the top with a touch of love. Yvonne was an avid animal lover and raised many dogs including her favorite Neka who was rescued from an animal shelter. Many called her sister, grandma, aunt, friend, and confidant. She loved Perry Mason and several old Detective Series. Her favorite food was Italian and Mexican. Everyone knew that if you were having a family gather of any type her dressing was certainly requested. Yvonne still laughed and made others smile. Her sharp tongue and wit sometimes made others back up and remain silent not because they would be arrested but worse her comeback was not like any other. In her younger days she wrote beautiful poetry that still resonates among her children and grandchildren’s hearts. So please read the special letter included by her granddaughter Cydney Graham.
Yvone is survived by her son, Dr. Darrin Graham (Sylvia wife); daughter Janine Landreaux (David husband); sisters, Beulah Ware, Julia Clayton and Cynthia Murdock; brothers Ricky Graham and David Graham; grandsons, Anwar Coleman, Darrin Graham II, Ramond Antonio Collier III, Jordan Collier and Jasper James; granddaughters Jaquela Coleman, Cydney Graham and Ladonna Benjamin; 26 great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews.
