Music by The Piano Brothers

Kevin R. Wright lived out his earthly life in South Bend, Indiana. He passed on to glory, in his home, in the presence of his loving wife, Joy and their sons, on October 4, 2017 at the age of 62. Kevin was born on September 22, 1955; the sixth child and the fifth son of Edward and Gladys Wright.

As a young man, he followed his brother Gary Wright into the automotive repair career working at Midas Muffler Shop on Keasey Street in South Bend. Later in life he would also be employed by Solvay Corp and St. Joseph Hospital of South Bend. A graduate of Riley High School, he and his cousin, Bruce Crumbley were co-owners of K&B Auto Repair. He also served many years on the board of the Southeast Side Reunion Committee helping to co-ordinate events. After the death of his mother, Kevin was raised by his uncle and aunt, Willie (deceased) and Thelma Crumbley.

In addition to his parents, others preceding Kevin into glory, are sisters: Barbara Brown and Rose Brooks; brothers: Edward, Dennis and Gary Wright.

On August 9, 2013, Kevin was united in marriage to his soul mate, Nanetta (Joy) Bryant who survives. He is also survived by his only child, Kevin Wright Jr.; three stepchildren: Desmond, Dante and Diona Harris; four grandchildren: Kelis, Kayla, Kevin (K3) and Carmelo Anthony Wright; brother, Samuel L. Wright; and sisters: Theresa Phelps, Darlene Martin and Yoland Wright.

Kevin remained a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church, beginning with Rev. Joseph and continuing with Pastor Verneil Lewis, until failing health made attendance difficult.
